Chicken Divan is a recipe that was ear-marked in the tattered, and loved, cookbooks of both my grandma and mom. It’s near-and-dear to my heart because it tastes like childhood to me. It’s also the first meal I made for my (now) husband when we first started dating! I totally believe the old adage that the best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, and Chicken Divan is case-in-point!
This creamy, cheesy broccoli and chicken goodness is a comfort food that tastes amazing on a cold day, but can even work as a meal in the middle of Summer. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that it tastes even better as left-overs the second day.
Added bonus: Kids love it! Emerson, my 4-year-old doesn’t put up a fight to eat her broccoli when she’s eating this meal!
